Hey there friends and family! In case this blog and news of my move is taking you by surprise, let me fill you in on a little bit of the background...
Part of my job requires me to change positions and divisions every eight months for two years. I started out down in Middletown, CT and have been getting by in South Windsor, CT since April. And now, for a bit of a change, I'll be out in Denver, CO until next summer. Instead of going through the hassle of shipping everything I own, including my car, across the country, I decided I'd take it all out there myself and make it a five-day road trip adventure. Crazy. I know.
My college buddy, Bert, and my dad will be joining along for different legs of the drive as I make my way to Denver via the "northern" route through Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, and Colorado.
The plan is to take of this Saturday morning and make it to Cleveland by that night, hit up Chicago by Sunday night and hang out there for the whole next day, make it to Omaha on Tuesday, and have the Colorado Rockies in sight by Wednesday night. I'll try and update this blog daily with photos and stories from my phone.
Well, I've had my fill of turkey and stuffing for the night and am looking forward to a full day of packing, saying "goodbye", and not Christmas shopping tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving!!
ML
good luck michael
