Update from the road - Bert's driving, I'm posting from my phone, we're listening to the Patriots game on the radio, and Vrabel just intercepted a Roethlisberger pass which Cassel converted for a touchdown. Life is good.
We should get into Chicago by 7PM tonight, mainly because Ohio is pressing hard to overcome New York as the worst state ever by not having any EZPass toll booth lanes. We just made it 5 miles in 50 minutes...
Anyways, we're looking for ideas in what to do in Chicago. Currently, the only things we have planned are making stops at Wrigley Field and the SAE National Headquarters, and going to a place called Nookie's for breakfast (thanks, Steph). Any ideas? We're spending the whole day there tomorrow.

Hello - I am Steph Filipski's sister, Shannon, and I live in Chicago. She told me to check out your blog and give you Chicago ideas...so here ya go.
ReplyDelete- Go downtown to Michigan Avenue - should be nice and festive w/ all the holiday decorations
- Christkindl Market at Daley Plaza
- Ice-skating at Millenium Park
- Go to one of the most underrated museums in my opinion - the Museum of Science and Industry. And it's BOGO free - http://www.msichicago.org/offer/catw-08-share-the-memories-bogo/
- recession-proof meals - catch a Monday deal at any bar - check out metromix.com for which ones have the best deal for you.
Good luck and happy travels...
Thanks, Shannon!
